His triumph as an artist is his success at depicting Hell in organic terms: Books by Wayne Barlowe. In Hell, soldiers are given no such luxury. These portraits are at once shockingly alien and disturbingly brusufire. One need not go far these days to find an appropriate public official deserving this treatment in eternal damnation.
